Now that you know for a fact that older versions of flash have been completely removed from your computer, you can go ahead and install the latest version that your browser supports. If you also use Chrome, you should know that Chrome has a Flash version installed within the browser itself… so even after you uninstall Flash on your computer, you will still be able to visualize videos and the testing page in Chrome will tell you that you have Flash on your computer even though it’s not exactly in your Operating System (it’s within the chrome browser)… Once you’ve done that, go to this page to test if you still have Flash after you’ve uninstalled. If it’s still there after all you’ve done then just throw it into the trash and then go clear your trash. You’ll be able to look into your program Files folder and verify if Flash is still lurking around there or not. You can also just copy and paste this into the address bar C:\ * If you don’t know where your C drive is, simply go to Computer and you will see something saying Windows C drive. You can find the uninstaller for Mac by clicking on this link here.Įven after I uninstall through the Control Panel and also with the uninstaller from Flash, I still go into my C drive Programs folder and ensure that there’s nothing left… You can find the uninstaller for Windows by clicking on this link here. (You’ll have to close your browsers when you’re uninstalling it.) You’ll need to download a Flash uninstaller so that you can make sure that your system is completely clear of any older version of Flash. but fortunately there’s a solution although it is a bit time consuming. The problem is that even after you do this, for some odd reason Flash doesn’t just uninstall …. In any sense, you can go there and right click and then choose the option to uninstall. You will find this by clicking Start > Control Panel > Program Files…Įach operating system is a bit different so yours may be named ‘Add or Remove Programs’… Usually when you want to uninstall a program from your computer, all you have to do is go to the Programs portion in your Control Panel and then uninstall it. I learned this the hard way after months of trying to figure out why I couldn’t get Flash to function properly in Firefox and I finally discovered the culprit… If you’ve been asking yourself these questions and having trouble watching videos in Firefox or in any other browser for that matter, you might need to take some extra steps to get videos to work again.
